Sergeant Kenneth Maurice Bird was wireless operator/air gunner on a Blenheim IV bomber of 114 Sqn RAF.


Sgt. Bird's Blenheim was on an intruder mission to Leeuwarden airfield, but was shot down by flak
defenses near Schiphol airfield, where the Blenheim also crashed.


Sgt Bird is buried at the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats in Amsterdam, Plot 85. Row A. Grave 3.
