 Location: The Nieuwe
Oosterbegraafplaats is in the south-eastern district of Amsterdam
at the Kruislaan, a road in the Watergraafsmeer area of the city. The Commonwealth war graves plots will be found in the
south-eastern portion of the cemetery.
The Nieuwe
Oosterbegraafplaats is situated at "Green A"
(the A actually indicates the Allied plot at the
cemetery). The best way to reach the cemetery by car is from the ringroad A10 East. Take
exit S113, turn left at the traffic lights. You are on the
Middenweg now. The cemetery is located after about 0,5 -1
kilometers at your left hand site. Take a left at the
traffic-lights at the Kruislaan. There is a parking area
on the west side of the cemetery.

There are over 300 casualties commemorated in this site, nearly
50 of these are unidentified.
