Sgt Thompson and his
crew took off from their base at Snaith at 22.26 in Halifax HR934.
They were lost without a
trace. They crashed in the North Sea. The cause
of their demise is not known.
The bodies of the crew
eventually washed ashore on Dutch beached. Sgt
Thompson's
body washed ashore on the Dutch coast near
Castricum and was interred here.

and Sgt Taylor are buried at Bergen, PO
Sarginson is buried at Vlieland and Sgt Edwards
is buried at Bergen op Zoom.
