Sergeant Jack Brown was from Leeds, Yorkshire.

He was part of the crew of Wing Commander James, commanding officer of 9 Squadron RAF. Sergeant Brown was killed in action on 21 June 1942, on a mission to Emden.

It is not known how Sgt Brown and his crew were lost. He was 21.
