(Aaron) Avron Jacobs was born on 11 February 1924. He was from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Avron went to Fairmount Public and Baron Byng High Schools. He was a member of B'nai B'rith.

Avron joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on 18 February 1942 and received his wings at St. Hubert on June 11, 1943. He went overseas on June 24 of the same year. Not much is known about Avron from that point on.

He became a pilot with 424 Squadron. On 1 November 1944 he and his crew were sent on a mission to bomb Oberhausen.

The crew took off in Halifax MZ376 QB-K at 16.54 from their base Skipton-on-Swale. Their Halifax crashed near Echt-Susteren at 20.40. The cause of the crash is not known, but their Halifax might have been hit by flak which was reported medium to heavy over the target. The whole crew perished in the crash and were originally buried at Echt. After the war the were reburied at Nederweert War Cemetery.
