Jacek Strzyżewski was born on 11 August 1912.

He was awarded the Silver Cross of the Order of the Virtuti and the Polish Cross of Valour.

He flew as a navigator with 304 (Polish) Squadron and held the rank of szeregowiec, or Aircraftman. His crew consisted of  F/O Klewicz, P/O Zajac, P/O Maczynski, Sgt Pokrzywa, Sgt Garstka and Sgt Strzyzewski. They were killed on raid on Wilhelmshaven on 10 January 1942 in a Vickers Wellington bomber (DV423). Their Wellington was hit by flak and the plane was ditched by the pilot. However, the whole crew perished.

Only the bodies of two of the crew were recovered.

Szer. Strzyżewski is buried in Uithuizermeeden.
