Allen Middleton was born in 1924, son of Robert Percy and Annie Middleton, of Sheffield.

Not much is known about him. He joined the army and was posted to 1/6th Battalion, the Queen's Royal Regiment, which was part of 131 Infantry Brigade, 7 Armoured Division.

The battalion was engaged in fierce fighting in the Overloon - Venray area in September and October of 1944.

It is unknown how and where Pvt Middleton was killed.
