Aubrey Wilfred Deere was born in 1922. He was the son of Wilfrid Walter and Eveline Edith Deere.

Not much is known about him. He was a pilot with the Royal Air Force. Late 1941, early 1942, he was flying Hampden light bombers with 106 Squadron.

On 21 Janaury 1942, Sgt Deere and his crew, which consisted of

Sgt V.V. Cooper
Sgt  T.G.W. Berry and
Sgt  B.J.P. Palme

Participated in a mission to Bremen. The crew took off in Hampden X1D AE123 ZN-D at 17.15 from their base at Coningsby. The plane crashed near Spoolde (Overijssel), 2 km SE of Zwolle, Holland.

Three of the crew survuved to become PoWs. The cause of loss could not be established.

Sgt Deere is buried in Voorst (Zwollerkerspel ) General Cemetery.
