Location: Westernieland is
located in the north of The Netherlands, in the province of
Groningen.
Westernieland is a village 23 kilometers north of
the city of Groningen. It is about 5 kilometers North-North-east of Eenrum.
From Groningen, take the N363, take exit Westernieland
at Rasquert. The cemetery is on the north-western outskirts
of the village, on the road leading to the dyke.
Turn left at the church if you come from the direction
of Eenrum/Pieterburen, turn right if you come from the
direction of Baflo. The British graves are in a prominent position created
by the local people, in the centre of the cemetery.
There are 10 war
casualties buried at this site.
