Damwoude General Cemetery

 

 

 

Damwoude is located 5 kilometers south of Dokkum and 24 kilometers north east of Leeuwarden. The cemetery is about 280 meters from the centre of the village, on the eastern side of the road to Leeuwarden (called the Hoofdweg or N356). The entrance is located in the Hoofdweg between house numbers 103 and 105. In the south eastern part are the graves of eight airmen, six of whom belonged to the Royal Air Force and two to the Royal Canadian Air Force.
