Location: Blija is located in the north of The Netherlands, in the province of Friesland. 

Blija is a located on the north coast of Friesland. Blija, a village in the commune of Ferwerderadeel, is 26 kilometres north of Leeuwarden and 3 kilometres south-west of Holwerd, on the main road between the two. The church with its surrounding churchyard is on the southern outskirts of the village. In the south-western corner is the grave of an unidentified British airman.
