Harold Thomas
Wise was born in 1919. He was the of George
and Mary Ann Wise and married to Kathleen
Margaret Lomer Wise, of Sanderstead, Surrey.
Harold joined the Royal
Air
Force and
became a pilot with 165 Squadron, flying
spitfires.
Nothing is
known about F/S Harold Wise or his time with
the Royal Air Force.
F/S Wise was
shot down on a ground attack mission on 5
September 1944 in central Netherlands, in an
area south of Utrecht. His plane crashed
near the town of Geldermalsen, where he is
buried.
