Location: Gieten is
located in the north of The Netherlands, in the province of
Drenthe.
 The
village of Gieten is 14 kilometers east of Assen, the
capital of the province of Drenthe, on the secondary
road (N33) to Veendam. The cemetery lies north-west of
the centre of the village. The graves are in the
north-western part.
