Bobby Wayne Fry was from Hollister, Oklahoma. His date of birth is unknown, but he graduated from Hollister High School in 1943. In December, 1944 he enlisted in the Merchant Marines. He trained in St. Petersburg, Fla. and Charleston, S.C. He later served in the Marshalls Islands, Panama, Cuba, Scotland, and Belgium; Bobby was in Belgium most likely with his ship which supplied Europe after the war was over. It is thought his ship, which is unknown at this time, was docked in the port of Antwerp.
