Not much is known about Charles N. Hudson. He was born in 1921 in Kentucky and moved to Ford county, Illinois. Here he became a retail manager. Charles joined the army on 30 July 1942.

After training he was attached to the 417th Ambulance Company. The company arrived in Europe in July 1944 and saw action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

S/Sgt Charles Hudson was awarded the Bronze Star at some point. He was killed in a non-combat related incident on 8 April 1945.

He is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, Plot D Row 3 Grave 19.
