Joseph N. true was born in 1906 and lived in Herkimer County, New York. He was married and was a machinist when he joined the army on 23 July 1943

After training he was attached to Baker Battery, 455th Anti Arcraft Artillery Battalion.

Not much is known about Joseph's time with the 455th.

Jospeh was killed on 4 April 1945. The circumstances of his death are not known.
