Inman Beasley was born in Statesboro, Georgia, on February 10, 1919. He was the son of David C. Beasley and Zena Parrish Beasley. His mother died when he was eight. His father when he was seventeen.

He was married to Josie Eloise Skinner.

187th Field Artillery Group

Inman joined the US Army on 25 October 1941 and was attached to the 187th Field Artillery Group.

He was killed on 19 September 1944, possibly while his unit was attached to the 5th Armored Division. The circumstances of his death are yet unknown, but his family thinks he was killed while crossing the Rhine river. T4 Beasley is still missing in action and is commemorated at the Margraten Wall of the Missing.

His wife Josie died in 1967.
