Location: Opende is
located in the north of The Netherlands, in the province of
Friesland.
Opende
is 32 kilometers southwest of Groningen and 8 kilometers
northwest of the road (A7) from Groningen to Heerenveen.
The churchyard is in the centre of the village. In the
southwestern part is a pelouse d 'honneur created by the
local authorities in which are the graves of 7 airmen.
One of them came from the United Kingdom and the others
from Australia.
