Not much is known about Leslie Francis Warren. He was a sapper with 621 Field Squadron, Royal Engineers, which was part of 7 Armored Division.

He died on 16 October 1944, probably as an Prisoner of War. The area were he died was still occupied by the Germans in October 1944. Soestbergen, we he is buried, is the resting palce of several Allied soldiers that died of their wounds in German captivity. They were brought to a hospital in Utrecht. When they did pass away, they were subsequently buried at Soestbergen.

It is not known at this time when or where Sapper Warren was taken prisoner.
