Remains of Allied MIA's are still being recovered in The Netherlands. The Dutch, American and British (Commonwealth) authorities go to great lengths to identify the remains and give these men the burial they deserve. Family of dead WWII airman sought

The RAF is trying to trace the family of a Kent airman killed during World War II after what were believed to be his remains were found 63 years later.

Sgt John Robinson, from the Sevenoaks area, died when his Stirling bomber crashed in the Netherlands in 1942.

The RAF wants to find his next-of-kin so that he can be buried with full military honours. read more.

The remains of two US servicemen, found in the forest near Elsenborn, Belgium have been identified and reburied.

Updated the page about the burial of the Sterling crew that crashed near Opmeer in May 1941. The crew was reburied at Bergen War cemetery.

This story I found on-line. It appeared in the Stars & Stripes on-line edition on May 27, 2001. It is about the efforts of four Belgian volunteers who are called 'The Diggers' by the 99th Infantry Division ID Association. They found the remains of three 99th Inf. Div. soldiers that were killed during the Battle of the Bulge. Click here for the story.

Six members of a Sterling crew that crashed near the Dutch town of Opmeer in May 1941 were laid to rest at Bergen Military Cemetery. They are buried near their pilot, Wing Commander Herbert Dale, who was found at the time of the crash. (This crew will be added to the site later.)

14 April 2004

Sgt Major Evan Davies, 3rd Monmouthshire Regt. Found near Broekhuizen and to be reburied at Venray Military Cemetery on 9 June 2004.
